Today marks the launch of Amazon’s iPhone application to further enable iPhone users to buy shit that they want with ease… serious, barely have to move, ease.
Here’s how it works:
1) You see something you want
2) You take a picture
3) Amazon matches what you took a picture of with an available product on Amazon.com
So how does it work? Robots, son.
Sorta. Amazon’s people, that they are calling Mechanical Turk workers, go through each picture and try to match it up with a product on Amazon.com.
A pretty good app, but I’m going to have to agree with Gizmodo’s concerns with the iPhone camera quality and how our economy is getting its dick kicked in.
