Citibot Folding Kayak Is Inspector Gadgety

kayak

With floods in the American southeast and killer tropical storms raping Asia…it’s a safe bet to assume Mother Nature wants us dead by drowning.  In order to be better prepared for these flash fluids, I would highly advise you to invest in a Citibot Folding Kayak from Folbot.  Via Bachelor Guy:

One of their most space-saving models, the Citibot, is a sleek one-man kayak made specifically for the city dweller that doesn’t even have the luxury of a walk-in closet. This thing will fit just about anywhere. You can cram it in your closet or shove it under your bed… and at only 24-lbs stored in in its backpack you can carry it anywhere your granola-loving heart desires.

The Citibot is rugged, sleek and takes only a few minutes to assemble (the video below says 12.5 minutes… but I gotta figure that’s after a few practice runs), to its full 10-ft length. And if you’re into hitting the skies to find your next adventure, the Citibot is airline checkable. That means you won’t get anally compromised for attempting to travel with a traditional kayak – not to mention you could save yourself about $200 in baggage fees.

Also great if you want to do some urban Kayaking and need to make a less cumbersome getaway.

Get one here.  It’ll be $1200 bucks.

Ex-Redskins Fan Puts Team Loyalty Up For Sale

by Endswell 2 years, 4 months ago View Comments

loyalty

After the Redskins’ loss to the Detroit Lions yesterday (I really didn’t think I’d type “loss to the Detroit Lions” anytime soon)…ebay user Ogomo6 has had enough:

After years of constantly being subjected to disappointment, bad decisions, bad draft picks, bad contracts, overpriced tickets and overall Mediocrity, I am deciding to sell my loyalty to the Washington Redskins for the rest of the 2009- 2010 NFL season. I will sell my “fan-ship” and support any of 30 teams.. Notice, I didn’t say 31, because, I under no circumstances will I EVER root for the Dallas Cowboys. The Winning Bidder will get my undivided, unwavering support for their team for the rest of the season. SInce I have the Direct TV NFL Superfan Package, I will watch my new team’s games and will cheer wholeheartedly for victory on sundays, even if it mean against my beloved redskins.. I will also support by purchasing the teams merchandise, including, but not limited to Jerseys, hats, flags and other team apparel. I will take pictures of myself in my new teams gear and send them to the winning big. Happy Bidding and good luck.
Thanks to CP for the tip.
UPDATE: I’ve been informed in the comment by robinamarie007 that the bid is up to over $10,000 fucking dollars.

Muelmar Magallanes Is A Hero

Tropical storm Ketsana absolutely ravaged the Philippines and killed people left and right with torrential downpours and powerful floods. After saving more than 30 people from drowning, Muelmar Magallanes sacrificed his life to save a baby girl and her mother, and was eventually swept away, probably from the weight of his giant pair of brass balls.  From The Age:

An 18-year-old construction worker braved rampaging floods in the Philippines to save more than 30 people, but ended up sacrificing his life in a last trip to rescue a baby girl and her mother who were being swept away on a styrofoam box.

“I am going to be forever grateful to Muelmar,” said Menchie Penalosa, the mother of the six-month-old girl whom he carried to safety before being swept away himself. “He gave his life for my baby. I will never forget his sacrifice.”

“I didn’t know that the current was so strong. In an instant, I was under water. We were going to die,” said Ms Penalosa, her eyes welling with tears and voice choking with emotion.

“Then this man came from nowhere and grabbed us. He took us to where the other neighbours were, and then he was gone,” Ms Penalosa said.

Ms Penalosa and other witnesses said an exhausted Mr Magallanes was simply washed away amid the torrent of water.

Neighbours found his body on Sunday, along with 28 others who perished amid Manila’s epic flooding. The official death toll stands at 100 with 32 missing.

The High Definite would like to salute Muelmar Magallanes and thanks him for showing, despite a shit ton of evidence to the contrary, that there are still decent people in this world.  RIP.
