A statue of a surfer called “The Magic Carpet Ride” in Cardiff-by-the-Sea was attacked by a 15-foot tall papier-mâché shark in the early hours of Saturday morning.  The week prior, large fins were placed on the other side of the highway, circling closer over the 2 days prior to the attack, as if the sharks were stalking their prey.

Found this today in the Neatorama Upcoming Queue and I thought it was pretty cool. It’s a search engine that searches through what people are sharing on the major social networks.  With declaring opinions for the public’s viewing becoming a daily habit of an increasing number of web users, it’s a pretty useful way to see what people are thinking about your search term at the moment.
