This is amazing.  Click to enlarge.

Attached to Superman/Batman#75:

But that’s all a mere warm-up to the book’s glorious main event, Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo’s loving tribute to Calvin and Hobbes starring Lex Luthor and the Joker. I can’t begin to describe the joy this two-page gem brought me. Not only does Bermejo go completely outside his usual creative box by wonderfully paying homage to the style of Bill Watterson, but Azzarello accomplishes the equally impressive feat of mirroring Watterson’s trademark sense of humor while also staying true to the two iconic villains’ personalities and histories. I loved this strip. Absolutely loved it. For Calvin and Hobbes fans, it’s alone reason to lay down the five bucks.
