The SS Huckleberry: Zombie Survival Riverboat (Finally)

If a zombie apocalypse were to ever occur, there are two things that we know for a fact. First, zombies can’t swim. Second, zombies…can’t…fucking…swim. So, if one hopes to survive a zombie apocalypse, it would make sense to secure transport that operates on water. Enter the SS Huckleberry, a self-sustaining riverboat (and winner of the 2010 Zombie Safe House Competition) that runs on decomposing zombie corpses as you cruise up and down the Mississippi River.

Although zombies can’t swim, reason would suggest that they can walk on the seabed (they don’t need to breathe) and potentially climb an anchoring chain in, say, stormy weather.

You’re forgetting that the Mississippi is a river and water is passing through it constantly. Zombies can’t swim and the current will carry an zombies all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. This is, of course, assuming that Zombies haven’t filled their pockets with rocks or something that would allow them to sink to the riverbed and subsequently walk to the anchor. If so, we’re doomed.
