I’ve seen this video on a dozen sites today and no one has commented on the obvious foreshadowing just dripping all over the scene.  We know Michael Scott is leaving The Office, you can actually see the moment when Michael Scott sees himself in David Brent and decides this man is one of the best people in the world, and then there’s this conversation:

Brent: Where are you working?

Scott: Dunder Mifflin.

Brent: Any jobs going?

Scott:  No, not right now.

Brent: Just let me know.

When Michael leaves, you know he’s going to want to choose his own replacement to take care of his “family”.  Who better than someone he sees as a British version of himself?  Furthermore, if you’re the producer, who better to replace the star office manager than the star office manager of the original series?

I’m calling this now.

We call the 24-hour cycle that exists inside all living things on the planet the circadian rhythm. This rhythm can be seen in our sleeping and eating patterns, in cell regeneration, and our reactions to the cycling of day and night. The rhythm is present in every cell of every living thing.

A popular theory was that the rhythms originated in DNA. A study at the Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge has blown that idea out of the water by identifying evidence of 24-hour rhythms in red blood cells. See, red blood cells don’t contain DNA, so DNA definitely isn’t the source of our internal clocks.

For the study, the scientists, funded by the Wellcome Trust, incubated purified red blood cells from healthy volunteers in the dark and at body temperature, and sampled them at regular intervals for several days. They then examined the levels of biochemical markers – proteins called peroxiredoxins – that are produced in high levels in blood and found that they underwent a 24-hour cycle. Peroxiredoxins are found in virtually all known organisms.

But every Egyptian provider, every business, bank, Internet cafe, website, school, embassy, and government office that relied on the big four Egyptian ISPs for their Internet connectivity is now cut off from the rest of the world. Link Egypt, Vodafone/Raya, Telecom Egypt, Etisalat Misr, and all their customers and partners are, for the moment, off the air.
