MIT researcher and Bluefin Labs CEO Deb Roy wired video cameras throughout his house and collected 90,000 hours of video of his infant son over 3 years.  Him and his team then analyzed this data in the hopes of discovering how his son learned language.  In one part of the talk, he plays a time-lapsed audio file of his son slowly turning "gaga" into "water". The different ways they've been able to interpret the data and map word development through social interactions is pretty amazing. TEDTalks | Via
