Chris Mavinga Tried To Kick Mehdi Carcela’s Head Off

by Endswell 8 months, 14 days ago View Comments

During the final game of the season, Racing Genk secured a 1-1 draw at home to league rivals Standard Liège, giving them their third Belgian champion title. In the process, Genk defender (and Liverpool loaner) Chris Mavinga took it upon himself to try to boot Standard midfielder Mehdi Carcela’s face into the stands.

Carcela regained consciousness at halftime and after an initial inspection, seems to have suffered from a broken nose, jaw and the loss of several teeth.

One Trillion Dollars: Visualized

by Endswell 8 months, 15 days ago View Comments

It was announced yesterday that the U.S. hit its $14.3-trillion debt limit. To put that in perspective, here is $1 trillion. Please take note that those stacks are double-stacked, and made up of $10,000 stacks of $100 bills. That red dot in the bottom left corner is a man (for size comparison).

Multiply that by 14.3, and your debts probably don’t look as bad in comparison. If you’re having trouble visualizing it, here is $11 trillion as a jumping-off point.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Episode 6

by Endswell 8 months, 15 days ago View Comments

Kevin Tancharoen gets the series back on track with an introduction for Lord Raiden.

From Machinima:

The following episode represents director Kevin Tancharoen’s “different take on the Mortal Kombat universe,” combining the perfect amount of gritty realism mixed with a hint of mysticism… When Lord Raiden, God of Thunder and protector of Earth, finds himself in an earthly mental institution in the year 2011, his ‘delusions’ are treated with some rather primitive forms of therapy (involving an ECT machine and an ice pick).  Nonetheless, Blue, his beautiful, fragile yet insane fellow inmate, is Raiden’s only hope of escaping the mental hospital and making his way to the Mortal Kombat tournament to defend Earthrealm from Shao Khan.
