View Comments Kees van Dijkhuizen pays homage to Ridley Scott in the latest from his [The Films Of] series:
“Do what you haven’t done is the key.” Sir Ridley Scott embodies that quote like no other. With a shining career of 34 years and 19 films stretching over various genres, Ridley Scott is unlike any directors I’ve featured before. It is with great pleasure I present to you the ninth episode in the series, [the films of] Ridley Scott.

I was born deaf and 8 weeks ago I received a hearing implant. This is the video of them turning it on and me hearing myself for the first time

For you mothers out there…….it was like that moment where time stands still as your baby slips into this world…….I just started crying, then crying more because I could hear myself crying. Then laughing, then freaking out over my laugh. That lead to the shakes and partial hyperventillating. Then the tapping of the keys as the nurse lady did something on the computer, followed by the remote being set down on the counter…….I could HEAR it!!!

View Comments The founders of Brooklyn-based label Mishka speak on their new graphic they made for HBO’s upcoming season of How To Make It In America, as well as the parallels between the show and their own origins.
Besides getting our name and mugs on TV this is all pretty friggin’ cool considering the show’s plot line basically runs in sync to Greg’s and my own frustration, struggles and adventures in getting Мишка off the ground. For the bumper, the show came to our headquarters and did a short interview segment with Greg, our art director Mike Jones and Myself about the early days of the brand and our inspiration to get it started.
Along with this we also did a design for the show which was turned into a tee, raglan and pullover hoodie design that will only be available via Jack Threads for a limited time… and by “limited time” I mean just under three days.
The raglan, hoodie, and tee will be available here. How To Make It In America returns October 2nd.
