Residents of Moore, Oklahoma, were hit with a massive tornado yesterday. With winds of over 200 mph, the tornado left a 20-mile-long, 2-mile-wide path of destruction (including two elementary schools), leaving a death toll of at least 24 people (many of them children), and hundreds needing medical attention.
Despite the horrific aftermath of the tragedy, a feel-good story has emerged.
While being interviewed by CBS News’ Anna Werner, Barbara Garcia’s missing dog was spotted by an off-camera assistant and the two were reunited live on the air.
Here’s how you can help.
